It all started at 8 years old

My love for Corvettes started when I was about eight years old. A friend who lived across the street had a father who owned a Corvette, and to an eight-year-old kid, that car was about as cool as anything could possibly be.

I remember looking at it and thinking that someday, I wanted one of my own.

But sometimes “someday” takes a while.

Life happened. A career, raising kids and all the responsibilities that come with adulthood took priority. The Corvette remained the dream in the back of my mind—the car I’d get when the time was finally right.

Years later, the kids were raised and I thought that time had finally come. Then life changed again when my fiancée passed away, and the idea of waiting for someday suddenly meant something very different.

So in January 2021, I finally bought the Corvette I’d wanted since I was eight years old.

Peacemaker became more than just a car. It became a reminder that we don’t get unlimited somedays.

Raise the family. Handle your responsibilities. But when your time finally comes—buy the Corvette.

Life is short

The Peacemaker Community

Life is short, and none of us knows how many miles we have left.

It’s easy to become so protective of something you love that you forget to actually enjoy it. Keep the miles low. Avoid the rain. Leave it in the garage. Save it for special occasions.

That doesn’t mean you don’t take care of it. I’m still going to keep Peacemaker clean, maintain it, protect it and probably obsess over every little detail. Taking care of your Corvette and actually using it aren’t mutually exclusive.

Because someday, someone else is going to own your Corvette—and they probably won’t care how hard you worked to keep the mileage down.

So drive it.

Take the road trip. Go to the car show. Take the long way home. Let it get dirty—and then clean it again. Put some miles on it and make memories with the people who matter.

Take care of your Corvette like you’ll own it forever. Drive it like you know you won’t.

Don’t spend your life preserving your Corvette for its next owner. Make sure the best miles it ever travels are yours.

The Peacemaker Community

When I bought Peacemaker, I expected to get a Corvette. What I didn’t expect was how many new people would come into my life because of it.

This car has introduced me to people at shows, events, on road trips and through social media from all over the country. People I probably never would have crossed paths with otherwise, all connected by a shared love of Corvettes and cars.

Some have become familiar faces I look forward to seeing at the next event. Others have become genuine friends. And there are still people I’ve known online for years that I’m looking forward to finally meeting in person.

Peacemaker may be what started the conversation, but the people I’ve met along the way have become one of the best parts of owning it.

I bought the Corvette for the car. I never expected it to come with a whole new circle of friends.
